No brand exudes that glam luxury like Gucci. While other brands go discreet and wish for that quiet rich look, Gucci is a fashion house that has always embraced the more is more attitude. And who can blame them? Creative director Frida Giannini is an expert at creating a collection that’s wearable, but exudes that glam rock star factor that we associate with Gucci.
While other designers went for the obvious brights and pastel tones we normally think of for spring and summer, Giannini went in the opposite direction, creating a collection that’s stark, strong and full of summer sex appeal. The Gucci spring 2012 color palette was primarily made up of black and white, with a few strong shades like rust and kelly green thrown into the mix. Like any good Italian fashion show, there was also plenty of gold, whether it came by hardware on accessories or paneled into the skirt of a dress.
